SPRING PICKS

Spring is here and I wanted to show you what I got from superdrug!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - I have had this Foundation before but didn't like it, it made me super shiny and it almost looked like glitter on my face because it was far to radiant. Turns out that was when I didn't understand the whole meaning of makeup and didn't powder it down. So I have rediscovered  it again. As were now in Spring I wanted to ditch the matte makeup and go for a dewy fresh face so I reached for this. The Wake Me Up Foundation is apposed to have an Anti-Fatigue effect + Radiant glow, it's a natural-looking finish, and also has peptides and a vitamin moisturizing complex. RRP £8.99
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer -  I have used this concealer before and loved it! I'd say it's more for brightening under the eyes and highlighting anywhere else than correcting spots + uneven pigmentation. However it does conceal spots, but for me just not as well as its quite brightening and I dont want my spots to look dewy. It's a full coverage concealer that  visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes. Perfect for Spring! RRP £5.49
Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer - I have never used this concealer, only got it today. However, I have a funny feeling I'm going to love this, I swatched it on my hand and it's super pigmented + full coverage! It's a creamy texture but doesn't slide away to much like some concealers do on me. The consistency is a bit like the Benefit Boing Concealer. I got the shade 020 Ivory. It says it's meant to conceal dark circles, imperfections and discolourations. It's meant to last all day aswell. I will keep you updated on this and see how I get on with it! RRP £5.49

Everything on Rimmel was Buy One get 2nd Half Price so I had to get some new Spring nail polishes. They had tonnes of colours, but I just got the shade *Left* 'Bestival Blue' *Right* 'Rose Libertine'
The blue Nail polish as you can see is from Rita Ora's New Spring collection which is super exciting! You can't beat fresh colours on your nails for spring time, love it!
RRP £2.99 each.

Garnier New Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water - I have used this before and love love love it! Makes life so much more easier when you have a great make up remover because who wants to be sitting there scrubbing off your makeup, not me!! So Garnier have recently bought out a new one and this is the one for Oily/Combination skin, which is right up my street! I have not used it yet so I will let you know how I get on with it! RRP £3.32
Superdrug Body Butter -  I recently used up my Body Shop Chocomania Body butter which I was obsessed with, it lasted me for ages! So I needed a new one, I picked up Superdrug's own branded body butter, this smells like Summer, no kidding! It's in the scent Coconut & Sweet lime and oh my gosh I cannot wait to slather this on in the Summer time! It's a really fresh spring/summer scent and so ridiculously cheap! RRP £ 1.98

I hope you liked having a read what I got from Superdrug! Have a lovely day wherever you are and whatever you are doing!

What's On My Face #2

Benefit Porefessional Primer |L'Oreal True Match Foundation Ivory* | MAC Studio Fix NW20* | Benefit Boing Concealer | MAC Pro Longwear NW20* | Rimmel Stay Matte Powder | Revolution Eyeshadow Palette | Mayebelline Brow Pencil Brown* | Maybelline Sensational Mascara | MAC Cream Highlighter Pearl* | MUA Lip Pencil Caramel Nougat* | Soap + Glory Gloss Stick Nudist

Another 'What's On My Face' post, here we go!

To prime the skin I used my Benefit Porefessional Primer which is fantastic, leaves such a silky soft finish. I then mixed my MAC Studio Fix Foundation with the L'Oreal True Match, honestly because the MAC one is a bit to dark for my skin but perfect for the Summer. These two mixed together gives such a flawless finish. For Bronzer I contoured using the Hoola by Benefit, I have fallen in love with this! To give a almost gloss finish to the cheekbones I used the MAC Pear cream highlighter. I then set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, HOLY GRAIL.

Got to fill in them brows!! I used the Maybelline Brow pencil which has taken over my MAC Omega, so easy to apply. For eyes I used my favourite palette by Makeup Revolution, I used the second lightest shimmery one all over and a bit of a shimmery brown/purple in the crease to give some definition. I wanted to make it smokey but natural so instead of adding liquid liner I used a brown pencil in the waterline by Soap + Glory which lasts all day long without smudging. For mascara I have been using the Maybelline Sensational Mascara, honestly I am obsessed!

To finish off the look I used my favourite MUA Lip Pencil in Caramel Nougat and the Soap + Glory Gloss Stick in Nudist to give a pretty shine.

If you would like to see how I put this makeup on, I done a tutorial on my main channel.

Where have I been?

I guess I should start with a sorry! I apologize in advance for not writing a blog post since July...

So where have I been?

I've not gone anywhere, I'm still here! As you may or may not know I have a YouTube Channel, I have been doing so much filming and editing (I'm not complaining, I love it!) I've got major under eye circles as I've been staying up till 1 in the morning editing videos for you. So I'm putting a lot of hard work in to them. I'm honestly loving making videos so so much, I just recently hit over 100 subscribers and my channels had over 3,000 views which is AMAZING!! I was so not expecting that, I came on to YouTube to express my feelings to people about different things, and show my love for makeup and create different looks for you..so thank you all so much.

Talking of Makeup, I've also been doing some work as I not long ago applied to the QC Makeup Academy Online School. It is a Makeup Artistry Course that I am doing, and am loving so much! When I pass this I will be an Professional Makeup Artist which is my absolute dream! I'm so excited, I am also planning on doing a detailed video on the course so you understand a little bit more about it if you don't already so if you would like to see that let me know!

Anyways, I thought I would just say a quick hello and to also say I will be back doing regular blog posts so keep your eyes peeled :-)

I hope your all having a lovely day wherever you are!

Healthy Summer Salad

Hey guys and happy 4th of July America!
Today's post is a little different, I'm going to be showing you how I made this lovely fresh Summer Salad which still has the protein in it and it's not all just salad and most of all its so good!

The lovely Niomi Smart made a video on her youtube channel about this salad and I was totally intrigued by it. I will leave her links at the end.

So for the ingredients you will need-
Quinoa
Lentils
Spinach Leaves
Yellow Pepper (any colour of your choice)
Cucumber
Cherry Tomatoes
Avacado
1 Pomegranate
1 lemon

I just brought the Quinoa and lentils to the boil with 1 cup of each, and 2 cups of cold water in a saucepan and boil for 15-18 minutes. Once cooked, let them cool for about 5-10 minutes.
I then chopped all of my Salad and put it in a bowl. Then I added some Pomegranate Seeds into the salad and mixed well. Once the salad is mixed together I added the Quinoa and Lentils and gave it a good mix. The Quinoa and Lentils is full of protein which means its going to be a lot more filling. I then took a lemon squeezed the juice in the salad which works so nicely with the pomegranate because you get so many flavours in your mouth, from sweet to tangy. Then your done, all you need to do now is to add some left over pomegranate seeds on the top to make it look 'fancy' and drizzle a bit more lemon juice on the top. Ta Da then there you have a Crunchy healthy Salad! It's packed with vitamins, fibre, protein and everything else you can imagine that will keep you going for the rest of the day.

You can take out any ingredients that you don't like for something else that you prefer.

Here is a picture which is a bit more close up so you can see!

Also, to go with this Fresh Salad I jazzed up my Water and added some Ice and sliced Lemon, It is so so good for you and so yummy and fresh to keep you hydrated!

I hope you enjoyed this post, was a bit different to normal :)
Take care
