What's On My Face #2

Benefit Porefessional Primer |L'Oreal True Match Foundation Ivory* | MAC Studio Fix NW20* | Benefit Boing Concealer | MAC Pro Longwear NW20* | Rimmel Stay Matte Powder | Revolution Eyeshadow Palette | Mayebelline Brow Pencil Brown* | Maybelline Sensational Mascara | MAC Cream Highlighter Pearl* | MUA Lip Pencil Caramel Nougat* | Soap + Glory Gloss Stick Nudist

Another 'What's On My Face' post, here we go!

To prime the skin I used my Benefit Porefessional Primer which is fantastic, leaves such a silky soft finish. I then mixed my MAC Studio Fix Foundation with the L'Oreal True Match, honestly because the MAC one is a bit to dark for my skin but perfect for the Summer. These two mixed together gives such a flawless finish. For Bronzer I contoured using the Hoola by Benefit, I have fallen in love with this! To give a almost gloss finish to the cheekbones I used the MAC Pear cream highlighter. I then set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, HOLY GRAIL.

Got to fill in them brows!! I used the Maybelline Brow pencil which has taken over my MAC Omega, so easy to apply. For eyes I used my favourite palette by Makeup Revolution, I used the second lightest shimmery one all over and a bit of a shimmery brown/purple in the crease to give some definition. I wanted to make it smokey but natural so instead of adding liquid liner I used a brown pencil in the waterline by Soap + Glory which lasts all day long without smudging. For mascara I have been using the Maybelline Sensational Mascara, honestly I am obsessed!

To finish off the look I used my favourite MUA Lip Pencil in Caramel Nougat and the Soap + Glory Gloss Stick in Nudist to give a pretty shine.

If you would like to see how I put this makeup on, I done a tutorial on my main channel.

Where have I been?

I guess I should start with a sorry! I apologize in advance for not writing a blog post since July...

So where have I been?

I've not gone anywhere, I'm still here! As you may or may not know I have a YouTube Channel, I have been doing so much filming and editing (I'm not complaining, I love it!) I've got major under eye circles as I've been staying up till 1 in the morning editing videos for you. So I'm putting a lot of hard work in to them. I'm honestly loving making videos so so much, I just recently hit over 100 subscribers and my channels had over 3,000 views which is AMAZING!! I was so not expecting that, I came on to YouTube to express my feelings to people about different things, and show my love for makeup and create different looks for you..so thank you all so much.

Talking of Makeup, I've also been doing some work as I not long ago applied to the QC Makeup Academy Online School. It is a Makeup Artistry Course that I am doing, and am loving so much! When I pass this I will be an Professional Makeup Artist which is my absolute dream! I'm so excited, I am also planning on doing a detailed video on the course so you understand a little bit more about it if you don't already so if you would like to see that let me know!

Anyways, I thought I would just say a quick hello and to also say I will be back doing regular blog posts so keep your eyes peeled :-)

I hope your all having a lovely day wherever you are!

Healthy Summer Salad

Hey guys and happy 4th of July America!
Today's post is a little different, I'm going to be showing you how I made this lovely fresh Summer Salad which still has the protein in it and it's not all just salad and most of all its so good!

The lovely Niomi Smart made a video on her youtube channel about this salad and I was totally intrigued by it. I will leave her links at the end.

So for the ingredients you will need-
Quinoa
Lentils
Spinach Leaves
Yellow Pepper (any colour of your choice)
Cucumber
Cherry Tomatoes
Avacado
1 Pomegranate
1 lemon

I just brought the Quinoa and lentils to the boil with 1 cup of each, and 2 cups of cold water in a saucepan and boil for 15-18 minutes. Once cooked, let them cool for about 5-10 minutes.
I then chopped all of my Salad and put it in a bowl. Then I added some Pomegranate Seeds into the salad and mixed well. Once the salad is mixed together I added the Quinoa and Lentils and gave it a good mix. The Quinoa and Lentils is full of protein which means its going to be a lot more filling. I then took a lemon squeezed the juice in the salad which works so nicely with the pomegranate because you get so many flavours in your mouth, from sweet to tangy. Then your done, all you need to do now is to add some left over pomegranate seeds on the top to make it look 'fancy' and drizzle a bit more lemon juice on the top. Ta Da then there you have a Crunchy healthy Salad! It's packed with vitamins, fibre, protein and everything else you can imagine that will keep you going for the rest of the day.

You can take out any ingredients that you don't like for something else that you prefer.

Here is a picture which is a bit more close up so you can see!

Also, to go with this Fresh Salad I jazzed up my Water and added some Ice and sliced Lemon, It is so so good for you and so yummy and fresh to keep you hydrated!

I hope you enjoyed this post, was a bit different to normal :)
Take care

Why I started YouTube

Hey lovelies.

So today's post is a little bit different, I didn't feel like taking some pictures, uploading them and telling you a bit about them.. I wanted to have a chat with you all instead and tell you why I started my YouTube Channel.

Back in August 2013 me and my friend made a You Tube Channel called the BeautyObsessors, we both were inspired by so many You Tubers such as Zoe, Louise, Tanya, Jim, Joe, Alfie, Marcus etc so we both decided to start a Channel ourselves. We done a couple videos but couldn't keep on top of them because at the time we had just started Sixth form and was super busy with our work so Kirsty is now still super busy with her next year of A Levels so she wont be doing them anymore which is why i made myself a channel. One day Kirsty may feature on my new channel :) I've got a lot of spare time on my hands whilst deciding what path i'm going to take next year so in the mean time, i'll be uploading videos and posts!

My channel is BeautyObsessor
I have only made two videos on my Channel so far and am really enjoying it, it's now my new Hobby! When I sit down on a Monday or Tuesday to film ( because I upload Wednesdays ) I feel in my comfort zone and feel happy to be sitting in front of a camera and talking to you, although I've not quite got the hang of cameras, editing and uploading yet.. I'm still working on it.

Before I started my channel I've watched YouTube videos for at least 3 years and thought to  myself if they can sit in front of a camera and talk for 10 minutes then so can I. I wanted to start my own channel as soon as i watched the first ever YouTube video which was a makeup tutorial. I uploaded my first Intro Video last week and saw a couple of girls comment on it, I was so not expecting that!! It made me so happy that someone actually noticed my video :D

In 5 years time, I would LOVE to see myself right where Zoe Sugg is right now! I know, big dream huh? But if you can dream it, you can do it right?

The point of this post is too just basically tell YOU right now who is reading this- If you are thinking of making a Channel on whatever you enjoy then do it!! Make videos that you want to watch, it's a lot more enjoyable talking about what you love in front of a camera. Having the confidence is another issue, like me I am not a very confident person.. I am so so shy and would not have expected to make a YouTube channel myself. However, when I done it I felt so proud and it was encouraging to do more, so I will be and I really hope that you enjoy the videos I make!

Do what YOU want, if you don't, You'll regret not doing it.

Handy Pots!

Hello people! So it has been a long while since I have done a proper blog post, ( all explained in my last post ) But I am back now and will be writing a post every Monday and Friday. So without further of do lets get in to it!!
So the other day I went to do some food shopping with my mum ( how interesting ) and went to another shop across the road which was called B & M's, It's such a cheap shop and you've got everything in there from mirrors to food, and also the prices in there are incredibly cheap.

I've been looking for some storage for my make up brushes, and came across these really cute tins that were only 99p each!!

I chose Cream, Mint Green and Pastel Pink.

I am planning on re-decorating my bedroom and not to sure what colour I am going for, But I knew buying these wouldn't have been a problem because the colours match with everything!

I have used the Pastel Pink one for my makeup brushes, I think they look so cute and they are so so handy! I'm not to sure what I want to use the mint green and cream one for yet, maybe decoration or I just need to find something else to put in there.. Maybe I have to go and buy some more brushes. You choose?! :)

Ok so this was just a quick post that I wanted to share with you I hope you enjoyed it and get some inspiration from these, go and buy some cute pots and jazz them up girls!
